Founded by Ashira Israel in 2025, Makers Accord reflects an evolution in both design and sustainability. Ashira’s journey began in architecture school, where her love for woodworking emerged in the school’s shop and grew into a practice centered on thoughtful use of materials. Her early work with IN.sek Design, blending wood, concrete, and metal, was recognized in publications such as The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Dwell, and Architectural Record. Over time, as her dedication sustainably sourced materials deepened through collaborations with New York Heartwoods, she shaped a philosophy that now, with Makers Accord, brings her journey full circle—crafting furniture that embodies a paradigm shift toward thoughtful, sustainable design, bridging the gap between art, functionality, and environmental stewardship.
